Founded in Houston. Built on Relationships. Focused on Healthcare.
Young's Insurance Agency was founded in 1980 by Lummie Young Jr., not as a volume shop, but as a relationship-driven practice built on a straightforward belief: the client's actual situation should always drive the coverage decision. For over four decades, that principle guided how we worked with Texas families and businesses across every kind of risk.
When the agency passed to the second generation in 2020, it happened in the middle of a pandemic that exposed exactly how much Texas healthcare operators carry on behalf of everyone else. We watched home health agencies keep running through the worst of it. We watched NEMT drivers still showing up. We watched assisted living staff navigate impossible conditions without anyone in their corner who truly understood what they were risking legally, financially, or operationally.
That moment didn't create our commitment to healthcare. It confirmed it.
We have family members who have spent their careers in healthcare. We have sat with aging relatives who needed in-home care to maintain any quality of life, and we know, personally, what it means when that care is delivered with skill and dignity.
What we also saw, in those same years, was a persistent gap: healthcare operators carrying programs that hadn't kept pace with how their businesses actually operated. We saw staffing models, regulatory obligations, and field exposures that a standard policy wasn't built to cover. Operators who found out their coverage had holes not during a renewal conversation, but during a claim.
That's the gap we work in.
We bring four decades of institutional knowledge to a specialized focus: finding where Texas healthcare programs break before a claim does. Not to replace your current broker out of habit, and not to win business by undercutting on price, but to do the diagnostic work that rarely gets done, and give you an honest picture of where you actually stand.
Walk us through your clinical operations, your staffing models, and your current policy limits. We'll tell you exactly where your coverage breaks and how to fix it.
